Well there has been no news since my last post. In fact it is now January 17, 2015 and we have had no measurable rainfall to add water to lake Hefner. It is beginning to get desperate again. The harbor is drying up, boats that did not get hauled or slung are now on bottom. The tide has gone out, and only the Good Lord knows for how long. We got "A Meeting"' out and in dry dock just in time. Another week or two and it would have been very difficult to haul her out.
In the mean time, she did get to go to the 100th Camporee of the Last Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts of America in October 2014. In This photo you can see her on the far right side. Many scouts got to come aboard and tour her, and some of the scouts in Ship 131 spent the night aboard.
Pray for our country, and pray for rain!!!
